Post 6: An expert / person in your field you admire

His name is Muddy Waters, he was born on 4th april, 1913, in Issaquena, Misisipi and lived until 1983. He was a blues rock musician and usually called The Father of Chicago Blues.

Muddy in 1960 did a tour to England and that was the beginning of everything.

This is the most important show and I saw in a video Paul McCartney was there, I don't know if it's true but I heard this in a video!

There are a lot of musicians that have been influenced by Muddy Waters, some of them are:

- The Rolling Stones

They called like this because the single "Rollin' Stone" by Muddy Waters

      Rollin' Stone

The Rolling Stones's first album all songs are covers. In the first part, numer 2 they knew this song by Muddy Waters and also in the second partm number 1.

- Eric Clapton

When he was in Cream, the band recorded "Rolling and Tumbling" a song by Muddy too.

Because of my love by The Rolling Stones I found this folk American music and I really love this, I find a kind of mirage in this music, in those sounds, in those lyrics.

Post 5: How can your major make the world a better place?

The major that I am studying can make the world a better place in two mainly topics:

music                    and              science/architecture

and I will take the music way.

I know that being a Sound Engineer can make possible all the music, since recording, mixing and reproduction music. But how? well, if don't exists microphones, music players, instruments... we can not listen music in the way we do in these days. (This applicate to Engineer in general). In these case, all these pieces of technology can make more people listen music and that is beautiful because I know that they life will be better with music.

I searched one example: "Harry's house" by Harry Styles.

In the art, many people have to work hardly to make art possible and exactly in this case the sound is "perfect" because of Sound Engineer's work! obviously the artists make all the art, but this never will sounding like this without all these Engineer's work

Tracklist
Sound Engineer's names

But how this can make a life better? I have seeing a lot of young people listening this record and I know, I really know that this production mark how this generation see the life and gives them a really good time.

I want to be part of this generation experience, I know that something big is happening and I want to make my best and I will see myself stressed out but satisfied haha.

Post 4: A photo and its story

I have been so tired lately because of the studying program, but a few days ago I discovered this album, in reality I knew it and I listened too, but I didn't understand the sounds like I did. I know that it have a meaning, a topic across all the songs about Ziggy Stardust, and I want to immerse in but I will not search it in Internet, because I am tired of Internet.
I write about this record because when I have listening it I read the lirics and try to understand what I was reading and listening and I can understood something, I think. Aaaand I felt very keen on him.

Post 3: What is my favourite piece of technology?

My favourite technology is Spotify.

Well, Spotify is a famous piece of technology, but I have to say what is if you don't know it. Spotify is a digital application that offers a lot of music by their ussers. The principal reason why spotify is my favourite technology is because it has a big musicals library, just for 3 dollar for month?. How can I say it?, I want to listen to an album from the beginning at the end. Although you should know that it is not perfect. Spotify doesn't have original pieces of music like the Beatles'music in mono, the music's qualities is not the bettest, and there is so much music remastered and I hate it.

I chose this piece because since I came to Santiago, that have been where I listen music mainly. It makes my life better because is not expensive and I can listen much music anywhere I be.

I recommend it if you want to listen music anywhere and don't pay a lot of for.

Post 2: Why did I choose my study program?

Well, like I said in my first post, I discovered the fantastic world of music when I was a young teenager. But I was lucky enough to see some of my favorite artist alive and that was what blew my mind!!. How the sound can move the people and get them together without bad feelings was what fascinated me.

With these experiences I found myself. That is: math and art, rational thoughts and irrational feelings. In conclusion, I saw the path that I have to go just because I went a concert.

And that is why I am here, studying Sound Engineering. I wanna be a support to the artist, especially to musicians, I wanna the people feel like I felt.  I feel completely happy when the people vibe with the music and I feel that I can do something to the world.

Post 1: My autobiography

After all I have to say about me, I should start with my name that is Renato, but some friends called me Reni.

I was born in Calama, a little town in the North of Chile. Calama is in the middle of the famous Desert of Atacama, you must know that it is such a beautiful place, but the most of the people live badly, I mean, all of the wealth that the city makes are enjoyed by a little group. My parents came to Calama because of work, like the most people of this world. Their names are Carmen and Patricio and I have to say that I love & I miss them.

I came to Santiago to study in this University because I am searching a dream that I have with the music, I arrive this year around in end of February, my sister is called Patricia, she will visit me next week because we miss each other 😭. I really feel thankfulness all of that I am living.

The beginning

Do you like English?

Yes, the English have been very fascinated by me since i was around 12 years old. I think that it was like that because i started to listen the music that my dad ear every time. Since these years (at least i remember) the rock music always sound where i've been; Guns n roses, Aerosmith, Poison was some of the favourites groups of my dad and i started to loved to but the important of this is that i find music like the beatles and the sound of the words in the beatles are "wooow". It's not like the american English, it's the British English and i really loved the English because of the sounds of the British English, i feel some of glamour in the words and i loved it.

What do you find difficult about English?

Get to sit down and study jajaja. And i don't know how can i explain what i think, is frustrant? and hard can not explain what i have in mind.

What do you find easy about English?

I found easy how i get inmersed in to the words, study English is enjoyed and i think that it get easy the English.

Changes to my study programme
